Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the University of Essex has suspended all face-to-face events on campus, meaning that this workshop is unfortunately postponed for the time being. We intend to re-schedule as soon as the situation has stabilised, and will inform in this website once a new date has been set.

About the workshop

The goal of this meeting is to bring together researchers in algebraic groups and Geometric Invariant Theory (GIT, specifically non-reductive GIT) to give them the chance to interact.

Financial support

Thanks to our sponsors, the London Mathematical Society and the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Essex, we can cover partial expenses of participants based at UK universities (travel and accommodation). Priority will be given to PhD students and early-career mathematicians. If you have such a request, please, indicate so in your registration. In any case, other participants who can find their own support are welcome to come.

Deadline for registration with funding: 20th of March.
